The Brazi Shop is an appointment-based waxing studio. Your appointment is reserved in advance to ensure that you receive the quality of services that you deserve. Upon booking your reservation, you will be charged a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the appointment price. We ask that you provide us with 24-hour notice to cancel your appointment. Any cancellations made less than 24 hours or no-show will forfeit the deposit. 50% of the appointment total will be charged to appointments without deposits. If your card declines, your outstanding balance must be paid before making another appointment. 

We take pride in providing the best possible service. We ask our clients to maintain our comfortable and private environment by keeping children at home. Minors interested in our services must be accompanied by an adult (17 years old and younger). Please be mindful of our policy when visiting The Brazi Shop. 

COVID-19 continues to be very much present in our lives, however, we are now much more informed about the virus and how to contain it than before. Here are our new policies and procedures in efforts to continue providing a safe space for our employees and guests. 

Only guests with appointments will be allowed into The Brazi Shop. Extra guests, family, friends, and children are not allowed. We ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment start time. If you arrive earlier than 5 minutes you will be required to wait outside of the building. A mask will be required to enter The Brazi Shop and must be worn throughout your entire visit. All guests must wash hands in our restroom before entering our waiting area.

We ask that you do not come in for your visit if you are experiencing one or more of the following symptoms

  • fever

  • cough 

  • shortness of breath

  • body aches

  • chills

  • new loss of taste and smell

Do you double dip? . . .

I abide by a strict No Double Dipping policy.

How long does my hair have to be for my first appointment? . . .

Your hair needs to be at least an inch long. To achieve this length, we recommend that you let your hair grow for two (2) weeks or more before your appointment.

How do I prepare for my appointment? . . .

You want to grow your hair out for two (2) weeks or more if You want to grow your hair out for two (2) or more weeks or more if it’s your first time. Be sure to exfoliate with the Brazi Scrub two (2) days before your appointment so that it’s easier for the wax to adhere to the hair. One the day of your appointment, clean the area, put on loose fitting clothes, and take (2) Advils about 30 minutes prior to your appointment. This will help with any discomfort. Avoid using thick body lotions or body oils.

My appointment is tomorrow but I just got my period, can I still get waxed? . . .

Absolutely! You can get waxed on your period as long as you arrive to your appointment wearing a clean tampon or menstrual cup.

I’m taking prescribed medication, is it okay for me to wax? . . .

Yes, if you stop taking the following medication for three (3) months:

Acne Medication
  • Adapalene
  • Avage
  • Differin
  • Retin A
  • Tazarac

  • Retin A
  • Alustra
  • Avita
  • Renova
  • Tretinoin

  • Accutane
  • Isotretinoin

  • Tazorac
  • Tazarotene

  • Accutane (acne medication) must be discontinued for a (1) year prior to getting waxed.

    Please let me know if you are taking any of the following which cause sensitive skin while waxing:

    Other acne medications
  • Alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic, lactic)
  • Oral antibiotics
  • Topical antibiotics
  • Retinol
  • Salicylic acid
  • Exfoliants
  • What should I do after getting waxed? . . .

    You should avoid any activities that will make you sweat in the area(s) that have been waxed. Start exfoliating (2) days after your appointment with the Brazi Scrub. Continue to exfoliate while alternating days until (2) days before your next appointment.
